Today started out with some pb&j's made out of toast which were pretty awesome! Then Christie, Anna and I headed to our education site. The schedule is kind of funky so we have to be flexible. Turns out, this week is reinforcement for students who have failed a class or classes this past semester. So, needless to say, the students are not exactly cooperative when it comes to gringas who are barely older than them are trying to help teach them. But I am still blessed with this opportunity and we thank God every day because of it! We only have one class in the morning with a 4 hour break until English club. We decided we wanted to do something fun today since yesterday we painted our nails and figured out riddles during that time. So today we walked down to the Artisan market and stopped at a café called La Nani café and sat in the first air-conditioned building since arriving and drank frozen café with caramel y chocolate. It was heaven. We talked for two more hours after finishing our coffee and enjoyed ourselves in the air-conditioning. Then Jill and Marissa picked us up and took us to the school where we had English club. English club is when the top English speaking students come and we have conversations in English so that they can practice. Then we headed to base and swam, ate supper and now I'm blogging :)
